The power of plant lignans : magnolia

In therapeutic doses, honikiol, the extract of the plan magnolia, has demonstrated to significantly induce cancer cell death and suppress cancer cell proliferation. Honikiol is a plant lignan that constitutes an important group of polyphenols, with demonstrated effects in inducing cancer cell death and proliferation.

Numerous epidemiological studies have shown that the intake of lignans is associated with lower risk of several cancers. These natural compounds have the potential to inhibit carcinogenesis, tumor growth, and metastasis by targeting various signaling molecules and pathways.

Growing evidence indicates that honokiol as natural lignan possesses potent anticancer activities against various types of human cancer.
