There is a clear link between taking antibiotics and an increased risk of developing colon cancer within the next five to ten years. This has been confirmed by researchers at Umeå University, Sweden, after a study of 40,000 cancer cases. Does a Diet high in Carotenoids Help Reduce Risk of Bladder Cancer?

A pooled analysis of multiple clinical studies with over 500,000 adults has reported a positive association of increased carotenoid dietary intake or increased concentrations of plasma carotenoid levels and lowered risk of bladder cancer.
Hence, eating brightly colored fruits and vegetables like carrots, oranges, broccoli and others (a diet rich in carotenoids) is beneficial and could reduce the risk of bladder cancer.

Super Quick Lentil Curry: Metabolic Balance Style

Super Quick Lentil Curry
Serves 2
2 cloves garlic
2 tsp ghee
1 tin lentils, drained and rinsed
250-300g vegetables
2tsp vegetable stock paste
2 tsp Curry powder (make your own with the recipe from Cookidoo)
500g water
Add garlic to bowl and chop 2sec/speed7
Scrape down sides and add ghee. Cook 3mins/varoma/speed 1
Add in vegetables and chops 4seconds/speed5
Add in other ingredients and cook 15mins/varoma/speed 1
Serve.
