Functional and Integrative Testing

VitaWell Integrative Cancer Care Therapies extend to working collaboratively with our General Practitioners in delivering intravenous vitamins and minerals as well as encouraging sessions with the Heckel HT3000 Whole Body Hyperthermia and the Perry Hyperbaric Oxygen Chamber Therapy to improve vitality and wellbeing.

Functional testing focuses on physiological function (i.e. how the body functions at a molecular, tissue or organ level), rather than merely the presence of markers of disease. In most cases both methods of investigation are essential to draw a clear picture of the individual's cause of health problems and specific requirements and to re-establish balance using nutritional and lifestyle intervention. Functional tests have the advantage to facilitate the development of targeted therapeutic protocols, and to identify imbalances before they develop into illnesses. A test is most often non-invasive and typically involves a breath, blood, saliva, urine, or stool sample. Most samples can be taken at home, for example.
